Ooo yah you’re right, it does look like a mirror of some sort. I like the poisoned food idea, it’s a nice parallel with Snow’s story. If you pause the promo and look, it almost looks square, but a little bit dented, like it’s a flexible square (hence my cloth or paper idea). It could be a cloth that’s holding something, and maybe the something could be bread or cake or something else crumbly sometimes eaten out of a cloth napkin.
Do we think Regina is capable of hurting Henry? We never did get a clear answer about whether she loves him. From human lie detector Emma’s decision to stay in SB after asking Regina that question in the pilot, I’d assumed Regina didn’t love him, even though she may want to. But Emma did refer to Henry as someone Regina loves in The Return. I’ve always thought that she does care about him. But she’s also very bitter and getting desperate, so I’m not sure if she’s willing to go that far or not.
