The only one responsible for what Snow have done to Cora is none other than Cora. Cora who wanted to become the new Dark One. Cora who sent Hook in Manhattan. Cora who tried to kill all the Charmings. Cora who was about to kill Rumpel.
What do you think seriously? If you where Rumpel wouldn’t you want to do anything to avoid dying? Wouldn’t you trade your life for the one of an evil witch who want nothing but kill everyone to gain power including you? What would you do? Ask yourself this and answer in all conscience, with sincerity, what would you do?
And Snow isn’t responsible for Daniel death, I’m tired of people holding this against her. She was a little girl. She was naive, she was a child who choose to trust an adult. Cora and Cora only is responsible for Daniel death. End of story.
I agree Cora has nobody to blame for what ultimately happened to her but herself. She started down this path of wanting revenge before she even met Rumple. Granted Rumple did amplify her need for revenge and her quest for power by teaching her magic but I don’t think Rumple is completely responsible for the bloodlust she had or the murders she committed in my opinion that mindset was already inside of her, case in point she murdered Snow’s mother Queen Eva years later for the humiliation she suffered at Eva’s & the king’s hands. She continued her vengeance on Eva’s daughter Snow who was an innocent child at the time and knew nothing about the history that Eva had with Cora, etc.
Cora passed on her anger and need for revenge on Snow to Regina, by killing Daniel. Snow didn’t kill Regina’s true love that was all Cora.
Rumple I feel was justified in taking the actions that he did to save his life. He really didn’t have any other options. Granted the method and the way he went about it by manipulating Snow to use the candle is questionable it is understandable given the circumstances after all Cora recruited Hook to bring her to Storybrooke knowing full that Hook wanted to kill Rumple. She made sure Rumple would be leave Storybrooke and find Bae, she also knew that Hook would most likely find a way to get to Rumple outside of Storybrooke because that would be his one chance to kill him. She set Hook on that path knowing full well what could happen.
Rumple’s actions were justified but they were also questionable in the way he manipulated Snow. All the hurt and heartache that Snow had over the years was started by Cora. In my opinion Snow was equally justified in wanting to kill Cora for killing her mother, etc which is what Rumple played on to manipulate her. It’s understandable what would drive these two to become united in killing Cora.
I’m not saying it was100% right or 100% wrong. I’m saying it was not only justified but in the long run it was also necessary to protect the people of Storybrooke and to save their lives and the lives of their families.
