I liked how it took Regina realizing that her relationship with Henry parrelelled her own relationship with her mother, in a way. Now that she recognizes just she’s become (“I don’t want to become you.”), I think she can strive to regain a peice of who she used to be. Letting Henry go with Charming showed just how serious she is about redeeming herself in the eyes of her son.
