If they are impostors well I have this crackpot theory of Mulan working with Cora if that actually plays out it could actually be Mulan and Cora 😯

Interesting theory about Mulan. However, I don’t think they would go that route for the reasons that Phee gave in the other thread about this subject because Mulan is one of Disney’s princesses. So I don’t think they would allow the show to portray her in a negative light like that because of how valuable that franchise is to Disney.

I do agree that she’s a little bit strange acting, but unfortunately I think that’s because the writers really haven’t given the character that much to do and the actress doesn’t give the best line readings. So I think the combination makes her seem inconsistent which might make her seem suspicious to some people, because this isn’t the first time that I’ve seen this theory pop up. I don’t think we’re meant to think that she’s suspicious at all because we’ve already had Lancelot turn out to be a fake, and because I think that Hook along with Cora and King George are meant to be the big villains this year. I don’t think they would have Mulan actually be the one working for Cora and not Hook even though it would be quite the twist just because I don’t think Disney would allow the writers to do that to Mulan.

Further, at least Aurora as spoiled and useless to some viewers as she may be, is a stock kind of character that viewers can relate to, and for me Sarah Bolger has a better grip on her character than Jamie Chung, right now. With Mulan, I was beginning to warm up to her in “Lady of the Lake” because I think she was given more depth there and was hoping that the progress would continue, but then this past episode, she’s just sort of there again with the stilted line readings. Of course, Aurora was just sort of there too in “The Doctor”, but she did add some comic relief.

I do worry about Mulan’s fate in “Tallahassee” though because she’s not listed for “Child of the Moon” but Aurora is. I really don’t think the show would kill off another POC so soon, but something definitely seems up there.
