I think it makes for interesting story telling and when you have characters are literally larger than life and not of this world it’s almost to be expected. If they were normal humans, this show would be…well, it would be called Revenge and take place in the Hamptons.
Revenge for revenge, in the real world, is idiotic, I agree. However, with SB and FTL, ect we aren’t in the real world. We exist there in a magically constructed world where revenge is woven into the landscape because that’s often how myths/fairy tales function. A individual or that individual’s family is dishonored or wrongs, you take revenge. It’s cyclical.
