I believe Red is an important character in the FTL side of the story. I think it is important to note that she never mentioned Rumple’s name when talking to Snow with the whole Angry Snow Potion incident, nor has Red ever been to or seen going to or with Rumple. She has been seen with Gold as Ruby but no real direct contact. The direct contact happened between Gold and Granny and moments later with Gold and Emma. Even in SB she never is too close to Gold nor directly mentions his name there too. She barely speaks of him in SB.
