I don’t know. Part of me wants to say it’s a continuity issue, but they have to write it somehow into the story. Even if it is just Rumple demanding Cinderella’s baby. But really, I think something happened to Rumple between the Charming scene and when they captured him. Something big. He was drinking heavily from his flask, he looked more monster-like, and he was more psychotic. Did he break after losing Belle?
I hope they show it, because I think Gold could be a real asset to the Charmings in the future. I hope they don’t think they could recapture him, because he knew it was a setup the first time. He knew when he signed the scroll that he was going to be captured. Plus, they’d have a bunch of Rumple fangirls storming the writers’ room for OUaT.
