Rumplestiltskin seems to be manipulating everything and everyone for some unknown end result. From allowing himself to be captured, exploiting James and Snow’s love, giving the curse to the EQ and making a deal for the next world. Now he was surprised by Belle’s love, and would have given in if Belle had not mentioned the Queen was involved. Now I know it’s not CSI, but I wonder why they never mentioned how surgical the heart was removed, or if there was any blood in the heart, or how long the heart had been removed (if they can tell that)? No one has said, where’s the rest of her? Why plant a heart at their spot? Jeez what kind of lawyer is Mr. Gold? Actually, out of all the characters, he is the most like a lawyer.
So I think it is generally agreed that there has to be some higher agenda with Rumplestiltskin. I think it is unlikely that he can see the future, but since he manipulates so many things, he can read more signs than others and see how things are trending. I have no idea what his end game might be, and how much the EQ is doing isn’t set up by Rumplestiltskin in the first place.
I had thought that the Faeries were going to be more of a challenge for Rumplestiltskin; but if they were the target in Storybrooke they aren’t immune to Mr. Gold’s influence. Had he no power or influence on the Nuns, I would think that they might be something that is central to Rumplestiltskin’s big plan.
So right now I’m as baffled as ever and loving it. The series could go in so many directions and I wouldn’t be able to predict a likely scenario for any.
Regina no longer has her keys, that means she no longer has access to her heart collection either. Will that be a story line, her panic when she discovers her keys are missing?
