One thing that makes me wonder though – in The Doctor, we clearly see that the person Victor brought to life was looking like the Frankenstein monster and nothing like Victor’s brother. He was in a terrible shape, crocodile-like looking skin, stitches everywhere, not to mention he was of a rather large size and swollen. But if this wasn’t his brother, he would need yet another heart?
Also, this was a long time before Regina casts the curse but Dr Whale is desperate do come back to his world as soon as possible. This bothers me because there is a feel of rush as if Victor either hasn’t finished his project yet and his brother’s body preservation was limited, or that he indeed brought his brother to life but he needed care, some finishing touches and some training. If Victor successfully resurrected his brother all these years before the curse, wouldn’t he have enough time to accomplish all that? And if he couldn’t, after all that time, wouldn’t he lose hope and give up, seeing that being stuck in Storybrooke would be a perfect excuse? Not to mention that Igor was probably still there, tending to the monster.
