I know! He has to be Bae! If Henry’s father was jus some guy what would it matter to him that curse is broken? I’m thinking August and Pinocchio knew each other maybe they ran in to each other and discovered that they’re both from the EF. I’m thinking Bae (Neal) found out who Emma was and that’s why he ditched her. I don’t know how to formulate the idea yet but I’m seeing how the pieces can fit.
