Good point Gaultheria! In that case, would it be him who wrote his name down in the book of spells? Spread his name so much so that everyone would know it and noone can technically ‘guess’ it. Also, what now strikes me, everybody seems to always call him by “Rumplestiltskin” (sooo much harder to pronounce, as beautifully demonstrated by Regina 😈 ) and not ‘the Dark One’ so it seems like he did go for it!
