While watching I also had another thought–that Alice might have eventually become the Queen of Hearts somehow. That’s just a throw away idea though. I don’t see how it could’ve happened.
Yeah, that pretty much is how I looked at the timeline.
But thinking about it, I wonder if they would stray away from altering the story of Alice too much since she is very fleshed out as is, most of us probably know the story of Alice to some degree similar to how we all probably know the story of Snow White. (a lot of us might know Alice in Wonderland better since its a bit more pop culture). It will be interesting to see if they take the approach they have with Snow White which is to pretty much fill in the time line of the original story and flesh out the character a bit more or take the approach they’ve done with characters like little red riding hood which is to really create a completely new character. Can’t wait to find out.
