Right. It does seem like they have some of the bigger things planned out, but there does seem to be a lack of consistency in the story and a lot of silly things they do that make no sense, but it connects the two stories the Storybrooke side and the fairytale land side. Like the apple being pulled from the hat. On one hand that is pretty cool that it is the same apple that Snow took a bite from and yet on the other hand that causes all sorts of issues with the pulling something through the hat from any time and place.
The details about the curse don’t really bother me. If the curse is sort of a changing object that does all of those things i have no issue with that. The food could just be replenished in the back room of the stores at night and since everyone’s memories are off then they wouldn’t know that was happening. And Emma wouldn’t know. It is also possible that no one ever buys new clothes. It seemed like no one ever went to Granny’s inn besides Regina and Graham before Emma came to town, so it is possible that a lot of the shops never really had patrons. It would only be the food that would really need to be replenished and that could just be a hammerspace curse thing which works for me.
