Regina’s Apples … She goes on and on about the Honey Crisp apple being so tasty and wonderful and hardy (and I totally agree, we planted a Honey Crisp Apple tree in our backyard), but the apples she has as props are most definitely NOT Honey Crisp. I always thought Red Delicious was the Evil Queen’s poison apple. They have that deep red color and classic good looks, and you can get them all year long, but the taste does not compare to HC. Maybe it is Honey Crisp, but it’s cursed, too!
