Well I’m all for Captain Swan, it’s part of why I haven’t given up on the show 😉 (I lost interest shortly after Crocodile, to much bouncing around, playing with filler charters for my liking, but that seems to have changed & the focus is more on our main 6 again YAY!)
What I have found interesting is that Hook hasn’t once referred to Milah as his “true love”, so I don’t think she was ‘it’.
I also have looked at all the interviews I could pertaining to Hook & in every single one I’ve found, it just says he truly did love her or he did love her- none state she was his “true love”.
It’d be awesome if Hook & Emma were ‘true loves’- they had that instant connection/chemistry that Charming & Snow had when they 1st meet (& the circumstances were just as stacked against those 2, as they are for Emma & Hook- in my mind anyway lol 😉 ) .
I also doubt Hook will give up his revenge for anything short of “true love” tbh & I cant see him being redeemed if he cant give that up…….Ohhhhh, just had another thought, what if Hook does Love Emma, but refuses to let go of his revenge, so Emma gets in the way of him taking out Rumple, (because Rumple is Neil/Bae’s Dad & so the grandfather of Henry, which makes him family), which then gives Cora (&/or Regina) the opportunity to put Emma in danger, which forces Hook to make a choice between vengeance/ hate/ sorrow/ Rumple & sacrifice/ love/ happiness/ Emma/ stepping toward redemption 😎 It would prove outright to Emma what she needs proven- that he will stay & stand with her till the end….. no matter what or who it is.
Like everyone else, I REALLY hope they don’t do the whole endgame for Emma as Neil/Emma- that would suck turkey burgers! 🙁
Personally I don’t like Neil & there didn’t appear to be any real chemistry between them, more it was the 1st person who ‘stayed around’ long enough to show an ‘interest’ in Emma, so she being very young, lonely & vulnerable fell totally in love with him & he eventually fell in love with her- end of story.
Yes I think he should be a great Dad for Henry & that he & Emma sort it out for Henry’s sake, but that’s as far as it goes.
The reason- Emma needs a strong true love (like her parents have) & Neil has proven he isn’t it!
I know he left the money & car for her, but I just think- esp given the lengths Snow & Charming went to, to be together, that had it been ‘true love’ (& I think Emma seriously deserves a “true love” to be perfectly honest), that he would not, could not, have simply walked out of her life so totally & utterly- yep, we may find out he went a looking for her- after all he knew how approx long she had in jail & he knew they had plans to go to Tallahassee, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist!- he should have gone to wait for her there & to help her fulfill her destiny. However, in the end we know he's still in NY AFTER receiving August's postcard informing him that the curse is broken & where to go to find Emma. Him still being there- for whatever reason, proves to me it's not true love- it cant be given how true love has been portrayed on the show thus far- ie. even after Snow told Charming she didn't love him, he sought her out anyway, then was told she did love him, only to find she had forgotten him & was going to kill the Queen, so he took an arrow for her- even though Snow had rejected him, nor remembered him- Now that is true love & it is what Emma deserves after everything she has been through. It is shown much the same way for Belle & Rumple (though I think their true love inst as 'deep/ powerful'- not sure those are the exact words I'm looking for, but they'll do- as Snow & Charming's), with Belle going back to Rumple after he threw her out & Rumple wanting to make amends after throwing Belle out & then holding himself back from doing as he pleases, how he pleases, solely for the love of Belle- not to mention that 1st kiss 😉
Emma need’s & deserves a strong, deep, powerful true love as her end game, not just someone/people who will/do love her. After all she had all love stripped from her as a baby, child & part of her adult life- she has to have a SERIOUS payoff for that- surely!
Neil & Regina would do well together- I’d like that, it would tie things up nicely for all involved- Rumple would get Regin as he was meant to (miller’s daughter’s, child), his love, son & grandson.
Regina gets someone to love, who loves her, Neil/Bae would mean Regina would have Henry as a true son again, Bae would help keep Regina magic free 😉 & Rumple from being the ‘darkone’ again.
Emma gets a real true love- Hook;) (or another), keeps Henry as her son, but feels safe sharing him with Regina, on account of Neil/Bae- same with Snow & Charming.
It’d also finish the Regina hating Snow arc neatly- as well as effectively stop the killing games & restore peace nicely.
Henry get’s it all- 2 moms. 2 dads & 2 sets of awesome grandparents- well everyone of those 6 couples are still good to go, as far as having there own child/children later on- so all would be well with the world/s once again lol 😉
