I used to watch Hamish MacBeth with my whole family as a kid.. Myself, my Mum, Dad and my 2 brothers. It was a long time ago and we’re all grown up now (I’m 28, argh!) but I always enjoyed those nights. Saturday night TV was ‘treat’ night and we’d have an evening in front of the TV (in Winter anyway). I had a wee crush on Bobby even back then! He had a gorgeous wee Scotty dog in the series and my dad liked it as his family come from a place rather like the fictional town it was set in.
I’ve also seen Taggart but not sure if I’ve seen the one he was in (I think EVERYONE in Scotland is familiar with it. There’s been a mrrrrdrrrrrr!) I saw the Full Monty Christmas Eve 1997, also Pluckett & McLean (with Jonny Lee Miller, now in Elementary), 28 Days Later, Angela’s Ashes, Once Upon a Time in the Midlands and the 51st State. I’ve watched so much of his stuff just by living in the UK, we didn’t have much choice back in the 1990s. 🙂
I’d love to see Looking After JoJo, I’m fairly certain I missed it when it was aired (was a bit too young to really understand it back then). Despite being from Edinburgh I have never seen Trainspotting all the way, but I know several of the locations it was filmed. I’ve watched parts of Stargate Universe but we couldn’t get any decent links here (my boyfriend was a big fan of it and used to watch it when I was asleep.)
