Passing along my 10 year old son’s theory here . . . last night he said that he thinks the key was actually hidden underneath the mattress in the cell and that it fell out when MM was making up the bed so it could have been there for quite awhile. I would have to go back and look but we were both wondering, was that the same key to the cell that Snow and Grumpy were locked in inside James’ castle in FTL??
