Yeah, I don’t think that the whole Emma persuading Gold to tell them the dagger’s location is going to end well…he’s trusted exactly one person, Bae, in his entire history; even Belle he hasn’t been able to completely trust, though he was starting to (when he told her about Bae in both FTL, and then actually said Baelfire’s name in the SB Library). I don’t think he actually trusted Belle with the dagger; he simply used her as a way to help himself remember if things went awry.
And now Emma’s convinced him to trust someone…and Cora has the dagger.
