For one, Jefferson. We saw in the finale, that the only reason why he released Belle was so that Mr. Gold would find her and seek revenge against Regina. I see Jefferson becoming a very close ally of Mr. Gold’s in season 2. And he’d be a very powerful ally to have. If Mr. Gold discovers that Baelfire isn’t in this world, or better yet, if the town decides to go after Mr. Gold for creating the curse, all he has to do is jump through the magic hat and disappear. Regina was very short-sided when she let Jefferson slip through her fingers, because he’s definiteley someone who you want on your side.
And all of the evil allies that Regina screwed over in Fairytale land would theoretically go over to Mr. Gold’s side. They’re probably just as angry at Regina as Rumpel and the Charmings are.
Mr. Gold has a better chance at gaining allies because Regina has pushed away even her most trusted allies. That’s going to come back to haunt her season 2.
