I believe Rumple, Regina, and Hook will not totally become buddies, but be frienemys (did I spell that right?) . They will continue to wax and wane thru their good and dark sides and will also follow the “we clash amongst each other but we all fight the bad guys together” code.
The quest to rescue Henry unites them because of what he means to each of them and that will be a bond in the back of their minds for everybody, including Emma, Snow and Charming, going forward as season 3 progresses.
However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be on and off fireworks between them, magic and all.
