My theory is the curse ripped all the happiness out of FTL but left everything else there- so realms/lands/parts that had great sadness (for instance) attached to them/going on at that time were left untouched.
I’m hoping/thinking that when Snow & Emma return they tell everyone FTL is still there but it’s dying or falling apart kind of thing as so much of it was ripped away & that they all need to return to stop it from happening- then we’d get them all trying to find out how to get back & then those who don’t actually want to go back, with the bonus of a few seasons or more of them actually in FTL trying to keep their world/land from falling apart/dying …. wait does that sound a little like Never Ending Story to anyone else lol 😉 – Oh I’d love to see that play out.
