I think in the series finale, Baelfire will tell Belle to kiss Rumpel, thus breaking his father’s curse. 😉 Baelfire’s goal was to find a way to break to his father’s curse without killing him. This is the perfect solution to that. We’ve already seen that Belle’s kiss has the power to break Rumpel’s curse in “Skin Deep.” So, I wouldn’t be surprised if Baelfire ends up playing matchmaker and asks Belle to kiss his father.
