Did Bae really love his father in his Dark One state considering how frightened/disappointed he was in him? It seemed like Belle loved Rumpy anyway (not like she had known him any way) but thought she could further improve his life. Charming was still willing to die for Snow White in her darkened state with just the hope of her remembering and loving him again.
