Welllllll…I don’t know if I’d go that far. I have no doubt that their side is engaging in some less than ethical methods, but we can’t claim that our side probably didn’t also try. The SPN fanbase is super strong, they’ve been on the air for 8yrs and their fandom is intense. VERY intense. Tumblr alone is proof of that. About a week ago they staged a #Mishapocalypse (for Castiel actor Misha Collins that basically took over Twitter and Tumblr) Our fanbase is still growing because we’re only in our second season and people are still discovering the show. Plus, Destiel is basically the only ship on the show whereas ours has a whole multitude of ships meaning that some OUaT fans may feel differently about Rumbelle.
What’s important here is that polls like this show the power of fan culture. People take OUAT seriously as a fan culture because we got one of our ships to the championship round of this tournament. We obviously scared the SPN family into some serious voting. And we had fun while doing it! Look how many pages this thread is!
