Oh, I think the propaganda idea is a good one. Imagine the new Dark One showing up to end the war. Facing the enemy commander, he says “Did you know they call you ‘ogres’? So be it.” With a flick of his wrist, Rumpel transforms the enemy army into sightless monsters, and while they flounder, he leads the children away.
