I’m starting to think that the room that they are in is just another world. I think that every time you sleep and dream, you go to this world, and by creating a sleeping curse, you are effectively being held prisoner in this world and not allowed to leave. Thus, they are in a prison in the dream world, and because the effects of the curse are still lingering after its been broken, they still find themselves prisoner every time they sleep
