I feel like we’re overthinking this a tad too much. 😆 The duke was taunting Rumpel, as was the Dark One. Of course, it could all come out in later episodes that Bae is in fact a bastard. But for the most part, I think it was just mean-spirited taunting on the part of the Duke and the Dark One.
