Yes, especially since when we saw their version of the Rumple story, the name wasn’t important at all, yet in Manhattan he tells Emma that he traffics in names. What does that even mean when his name has never been his greatest secret?

Which brings us back to this little scene in Manhattan:

(The trio has entered the lobby of the apartment building. Henry scans the list of names on the intercom.)

Henry: No ‘Baelfire’.

Emma: Yeah, that probably wouldn’t fly as an alias. Your magic globe didn’t give you an apartment number?

Mr. Gold: It doesn’t work that way.

(Emma and Mr. Gold take a turn at looking at the list.)

Emma: Do any of these names mean anything to you?

Mr. Gold: Well, names are what I traffic in, but sadly, no.
