I also think that Belle has just always been imprisoned in Belle. I don’t think any of the characters have a history. I think that is all made up. The only history that exists is that which is around Henry. Like Gold got Henry for Regina and Archie has been Henry’s therapist and Mary has been his teacher and gave him the book. Otherwise all of there back history is fake. Like Mary never went to school and became a teacher she has just always been a teacher since she entered Storybrooke 28 years ago when the curse was enacted.
