I did feel sorry for Regina. Having such a dreadful witch of a mother clearly caused her to snap mentally. That doesn’t mean I can exacuse any of her horrible actions though. Her anger towards a naieve child like Snow White was clearly misdirected. I agree with the assessment that Regina took out her anger on the easier target because Regina couldn’t take on her mother or her magic at that stage.
