the parallels between him and the Blue Fairy were very strong in what he did to Emma/Neal and what she did to Grumpy/Nova.
Another point to the idea that BF is the puppet master in this sense. I don’t like that she’s becoming so manipulative, but it’s interesting to see that Rumple isn’t playing chess against himself…
