The press release doesn’t use the word “monster”, it says, “they go in search of a mythical being“. Ursula’s a goddess, which could be referred to as a “being”. I do think the Medusa idea has merit too though, because of the, “could stop Regina cold in her tracks,” and Medusa turns people to stone, and they have been dipping into Greek myth a bit this season. Considering they’re wrapping up the first half of the season though, I think bringing back Ursula might be a better fit to tie it all together, instead of having a new random character they’re going after.
I doubt if is Medusa too, like I said before Regina sees what they are doing with her mirror and if Hercules can beat Medusa I am sure Regina could too.
