It’s arguably implied that Regina has a good memory for faces, as she knows her guards anyway. It was 300 years or so for Rumple, and it is pretty good casting that Eion Bailey sort of looks like Stephen Lord who played Malcolm. There’s a gifset around here somewhere about it–pretty eerie really.
I can’t find it again but yes it’s very creepy. August looks like adult Malcolm. No wonder he spooked Rumple
