I am so fed up with the hate. The death threat was to a fellow CS ‘shipper, I follow her on tumblr and she’s really an awesome and lovely person. I just don’t understand if you hate something so much, why bother devoting so much of your time to it? I don’t get it. I’m not a fan of SwanFire but I don’t go around blogs and send mean, hateful anons. I think it goes back to the fact, I hate bullying because I’ve been bullied before, so when I see it happening, even if it’s not to me, it really bothers me.
It bothers everyone. And all ships get hate, all characters get hate. We’re not the fandom we once were. It’s become a mean spirited place. Shipping is supposed to be fun and about love but it has become “THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE SHOW” when it shouldn’t be. I ship like crazy but I keep it where it needs to be. As do most of us here.
