To be fair, part of why Snowing gets on some people’s nerves is when they’re together too much…they need obstacles to overcome to be interesting/not annoying. Rumbelle without obstacles wouldn’t hold our interest as much (or, judging by the fanfic world, would just be awesome smut…). I see WHY they keep separating them, narratively…what I don’t get is why they hardly ever use Belle. Every time they do, she downright sparkles with whatever they give her, whether it’s three lines to a lovesick dwarf or a hug at a funeral for people we didn’t even know she knew (but thankfully they haven’t forgotten she does!).
And that doesn’t mean I don’t think they could face obstacles together or that I don’t want them to be together–I ship them as hard as anyone. At least with Rumbelle, I think the only way they could end it with the two of them not together is for one of them to perish…and I just can’t see them doing that. The bigger risk I see is losing Emilie the way they lost Meghan, through not taking advantage of the talent they have on deck.
