One of my all time favorite quotes.
You know, I’ve never read the book…….and I really should. I, too, love that quote; it’s so profound. It fits Gold so much in every way, but I’m most moved by the last part. I believe in my heart that he was at peace with his death, that he knew he was doing the right thing and that in his sacrifice, his beloved Belle and Bae would live. I believe that he was at peace with himself, he was happy and content; however briefly, he’d had his little family and had experienced the greatest love, both in giving it and receiving it.
