Thanks Phee—This doesn’t say if the family adopted her or if the own kid was a boy or a girl. Still going with the Bondsman guy that must have taught Emma how to do the job.
I’m leaning more toward bondsman myself right now. We don’t know when Emma was sent back and if the new baby was just born and they sent Emma back then they wouldn’t really know each other and he’d have no reason to look for her.
