I do find prophesies rather odd.
In Harry Potter, Voldemort’s prophesy states that something similar to Rumples. A boy would be his undoing and their were two boys that it could have been: Neville or Harry. Voldemort chose Harry, but Neville was really part of his undoing in the end.
Now I know HP an OUAT don’t mix but the ideas on prophesies are similar. People tend to analyze them how they want to and maybe not what they truly mean.
Oh and it is similar to the Oracle in The Lightning Thief series. Percy and Annabeth try to analyze the prophesy but it usually means something totally off base then what they first believed it to be.
