That line from QoH…*sigh* I love A and E but that line should have been tested to some fans or something to gauge reaction. Hook has her on her back, by force, and is talking about his penis. I’m not a prude and I enjoy a good smoulder or smut but…she’s literally battling to get away. It came across as…well rape, to be perfectly honest. There are some lines you don’t cross and that’s one. And from Emma’s POV that only happened maybe 2 months ago.

Yes, and that is what saddened me most and made me no longer see Hook as a real contender for Emma. Have I mentioned before I used to *gasp* like the idea of CS, but only for like two episodes? 2×9 was a turning point for me, and meeting Neal again in “Manhattan” is what converted me to SF forever more!

Honestly, it seems pretty blatant to me that they’re writing Hook as the bad guy in this situation. It feels like they’re writing him in a pretty extremely negative way when it comes to his treatment of Emma. And I have to think that the reason they’re doing that is that they’re writing a crash and burn for CS, so they’ll eventually be able to move on with developing SF without the possibility of CS still lingering in the background to distract from the story they really want to tell. So while the current situation hurts and sucks, I’m holding out hope that there’s a method to the madness. If you think of Kitswitz as people, do you think they’d be like Hook in their treatment of women? I’d like to think not. I’d like to think that they respect the women they’re in relationships with, and for that reason, I can’t imagine them compromising their morals, no matter what ABC publicity might want, to have their heroine end up with a guy who acts like Hook. They wrote SF as being “poetic”, that’s Adam’s own word he used. They see the beauty in SF’s story, and I believe that after all the pain, separation and angst, SF are gonna get a beautiful, happy ending.

I agree 100% with what you wrote. Hook is *supposed* to be a pirate after all! It’s funny how much I was trying to give Hook the benefit of the doubt, to like him, and yet all I see now is his trickery! To quote Charming, Hook “isn’t here out of any sense of nobility!” As usual, he’s in it for himself, because he fancies Emma and wants to win! It’s about Hook, himself and Killian’s wishes, wants and desires. I can’t believe how much Hook dashed my expectations of him….I’d spent all of S3 actually liking him, hoping for him to respect Neal, his so-called son figure, but that was just undone in a mere 40 minutes of screen time. But hey, I think this is actually to the advantage of SF in the long run, so actually, I should be *glad* that Hook just blew it, right?

I’m still hopeful that Adam and Eddy would not make a man who condones innuendo bordering on sexual harassment and leaving her for dead to be Emma’s endgame! That would be the ultimate UN-happy ending in my opinion for Emma, since she’d have to lie in the bed she makes. Also, it would be tragic to see Neal go through the ringer AGAIN. I refuse to believe that Adam and Eddy would continue to make Neal a victim for the rest of his life. It’d be tragic to see Hook get the girl in that case, because I would see it as an example of the bad boy getting the girl and the good guy finishing last again. To me, that’s the opposite of a happy ending or a show about hope.
