Back to the positive SF vibes! I saw a couple of Snowing/Swanfire parallels from 3×7 on Tumblr which I’ll share here.

Usually, I see mostly parallels between Snow and Neal, but lately I’m seeing a lot of similarities between Neal and Prince Charming! Both Prince Charming and Neal needed to believe in the power of love, and both struggled with fear getting in the way of their ability to see it. With Neal, it was fear of rejection. With David, it was fear of sentencing his wife to eternity in NL. Seems like not even Prince Charming himself is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes, and yet, both Charming and Neal have good hearts.

Again with the Neal/Charming parallels! Charming didn’t want to condemn Snow to a life with him if it meant being a prisoner on an inhospitable island. Charming would have preferred Snow to have returned home to SB with Emma, and perhaps even had a baby with someone else, rather than have to remain PP’s prisoner! That is a HUGE sacrifice that Charming was willing to make (albeit inconsiderate to Snow’s feelings). Likewise, Neal didn’t want to keep Emma from fulfilling her destiny and saving her parents from a dark curse. While this was very painful for Emma emotionally, this sacrifice enabled her to save her parents. Neal was a victim too in that he sacrificed his own desire for a family and a lifetime spent with Emma, the woman he loves, for the sake of getting her home. Both Charming and Neal were willing to let go of the women they loved for the sake of getting their women home. *crying*
