What I want more than anything romantic is that the truth about why Neal left. Despite the chorus of people who say it does not matter one way or the other, I think it does to Emma, but more it matters to his nature, brave or coward. The same with the history of Bae and Hook. 300 years ago in the story or not, those events were played out on screen for a reason and just as relevant to Hook and Neal as other backstory. Are we supposed to dismiss Hook’s past as a man of honor? CS fans do not think so yet they say forget Milah and forget Bae. If these events are addressed on screen, then we can see Emma react to them rather than fans assumptions of how she might feel, get her reaction on the quality of the characters of Hook and Neal.

Yes I agree. Even if Emma doesn’t really *care* about the Hook/Neal history (and she may not) she needs to know if for knowing alone. Either way this isn’t a typical love story but you can’t go in without all the information.

There are still some plot elements to play out. We don’t know if Neal kept the swan key chain and he has yet to try to return it to Emma, and she has yet to turn him down. There are things she doesn’t know, about Hook and about Neal, and I think it’s mostly positives about Neal and negatives about Hook.

I think that might be a good bet. We still don’t know what Hook was doing for PP, but PP called it “his dirty work.” And then there is whole, “I gave a young boy to the lost ones,…sorta like how your son was kidnapped in a similar fashion. After I had promised him a family.” But Neal’s other story is “I saved a young boy from the shadow we have in our coconut because they took me in and loved me and it was the least I could do”

Lovely video and pics, Slurpeez.
