Since it has been suggested that Neal took on some of Rumple’s traits this season (eg, using Roland as bait to get to Henry), do we think Neal may take on his father’s methods of dealing with potential love rivals? Rumple turned Gaston into a rose, Beat Keith with his cane (though that’s because he was trying to take advantage of Belle even though Lacey didn’t realise it) and floored Whale for “Looking” at Lacey. Would Neal be tempted to turn Hook into a flower or a hanging basket? Into a snail?
I had another thought to add to this from my previous response.
Neal may have used Roland but Regina, with Emma’s permission in helping to hold back Snow, used a Lost Boy’s heart, ripping it out turning him essentially into a slave. It’s not that Emma and Neal are “going dark” but rather it’s the same theme that has been shown on this show since the beginning. Desperate Souls do desperate things. And when those desperate souls are doing it in the name of their children, there is literally nothing they won’t do.
