Don’t get me started on how much I hate that whole poster thing because I’ll rant to kingdom come about it all over again. No one will EVER convince me that his poster wasn’t real. I seriously think that when ABC saw the vocal CS fandom and media crap come out of the woodwork during the NL story that they jumped on the bandwagon too and totally reneged on releasing Neal’s poster which screwed over all the Nealfire and MRJ fans. You CANNOT disrespect your fans that way if you want to keep them watching your show. I can’t think of any other show that’s pulled crap like this and there are a lot of shows with shipped couples on them. For example, I’m a big fan of Chicago Fire and their official Twitter and media folks do a great job promoting what’s actually happening on the show and not what they WANT to happen on the show. I wasn’t a fan of one couple that got together in S1 but they promoted them because it was a current story. In S2 there’s now a couple that I adore (and have rooted for since the pilot) and of course they’re promoting them right now because it’s a CURRENT STORY. This really isn’t rocket science. SwanFire may not be a current ‘couple’ per se but Neal having a second chance IS a current story (Rumple, Emma, Henry, the Darlings…there are a few second chances he’s getting right now) so that poster should have been released without question. I’m not about to give up on the show because of a poster or anything but if ABC keeps giving things to other fanbases and ignoring one of the other MAIN CHARACTERS, that’s going to tick off a lot of people and some will stop watching the show. I understand that marketing can be a tricky thing but don’t cater to any groups because you’re going to screw over someone else in the process and THAT IS NOT FAIR.
BTW-Retail work is going to kill me this holiday season. I went into work last night and it looked like a bomb went off during the day and left a crapload of shoes sitting everywhere in it’s wake, LOL 😆
