I was in a major rush to read KFC’s (post WL forum-ing) so I wanted to read it again carefully

I’m still a little miffed at the way the media department handled the Poster slogan, not just for SF–but all fans of the show. Love or hate Neal, he’s a character on the show, and telling us he has no poster for so long (basically implying it was just the one without words), and when someone asks they imply one thing, then flip-flop the other way it just comes off well…sneaky.

Sneaky or strategic. The two can go together, it’s just hard with the ABC marketing team to know why they do what they do (please see the 308 synopsis where they flat out LIED about who goes to save Henry)

That’s what Charming did. He didn’t tell her Neal was her Happy Ending or even a happy moment, but obviously he liked him enough to suggest Emma go. He likes Hook enough now not to outright warn Emma away from him (as he would have earlier in the season possibly).

Agreed. A lot of people on Social Media are yelling at the Charmings for shipping SF or that they are “the only ones who ship it” (the Snow hate recently…gah) but they ship Emma with Happiness. Even after Emma confessed that she kissed Hook to Snow, her mother was horrified and didn’t lay down some sort of “you should not do that!!” her reaction was that she thought Emma felt bad about it terms of Neal and wanted to say, “it’s ok. Love is about forgivness too. Did I ever tell you about the time I drank a potion that made me forget your father?”

This isn’t about Hook sussing out Emma’s emotions and whether she was jealous–it is about Hook being a jerk to Tink. Who roots for the jerk, even if we think the jerk has reasons? Last season people said Neal was a jerk to Emma. That his reasons for defending Tamara, for not dumping her instantly the moment Emma came into his life didn’t matter. Now we see what a real jerk is like. A guy who doesn’t care about another woman’s feelings, so long as he “wins” the one he wants.

Agreed. To me, Hook was going to do anything that felt good at the moment because what Emma doesn’ know what hurt her. But the second Emma might know, he is going to use it to his advantage. Neal didn’t hide Tamara. He was open, he apologized (a few times) and you could see that he didn’t want Tamara there at all. His reaction when she was around was always “man, I don’t wnat this….”

It’s interesting that you bring up the average viewer and what they see and don’t see. I see a lot of CSers claiming that the average viewer is obviously much more into CS (something that NEITHER side can actually say given that ONCE has an audience of about 10 million on average). I really do wonder what the average viewer thinks. Are they even aware of “shipping” and the war? I really wish I could talk to some of them. My mom and aunt are both VERY casual viewers (I occasionally have to remind my mom that his name is Henry not Harry) and both do not understand the CS thing at all. They think the story is about Emma and Neal.
