I too wish that we’d gotten his reaction to seeing the Bug in SB! But I guess from the point of the dynamic they were trying to set up between Emma/Neal/Tamara, they couldn’t really show him getting excited over her still having their Bug. They had to show him as being reluctant to just give in to believing Emma about Tamara, and if they’d showed him as being affected by the Bug in a way that he was getting emo over Emma again, that woulda thrown off the whole thing they were trying to portray with him clinging to the belief and hope that Tamara wasn’t playing him.
