I like the song.

About Neal & Tamara–it was genuine on his part in the sense he was not using her for a green card or a rent controlled apartment.  It was not genuine in the sense that the person he thought he could love enough to finally after 10 years try to move on from Emma  did not actually exist.   The writers made sure to show us enough about Tamara to realize she was fanatical, resourceful, and a skilled liar, who could seem genuine even when she was totally faking it.  Then they went the extra step and made sure we knew she had no real affection for Neal beyond a mild sympathy, because that ring was coming off, as she told Greg, soon as that mission was over.

I hope the writers keep the romance on hold for awhile because I really don’t like the idea of raw and vulnerable Emma, stripped down by Pan’s mindgames, grief and loss, fear for Henry, lack of sleep and food, falling in love with anyone right now.   I feel she has to reclaim her identity as the savior, as a kicking bails bonds/sheriff person, as Henry’s mother and Snow and Charming’s daughter/friend, and as someone with a whole lot of true love magic pouring out of her.  Once she’s “Emma again” instead of this little lost girl, thrown off by the magic of NL and the circumstances, then I’d find a storyline more romantic.  I feel like Pan’s toying with everyone there, the moment they set foot in his domain so no one is really “themselves” or even knows what that means right now.
