I hope so. The main thing that frustrated me about S3a wasn’t just Hook trying to insert himself between Emma and Neal; it was the way that the writers just glossed over the history between Hook and Neal that we learned about in 2×22. It seemed like they passed the puck on that one, but maybe they did so for a very good reason: the story between Hook and Neal is a deriving point in both of their stories that may culminate in a way that is driving force behind S3b.
That’s a very interesting thought. We’ve all been frustrated by the lack of CaptainFire interaction that wasn’t about Emma. So maybe it will be revisited in S3B if Neal dies and Hook goes on a quest to bring him back
