Thanks for posting the interview! There’s so much to salivate over in it.
“However long Peter Pan has been there and for whatever reason he has been there, we intend to reveal our take on that and on the legend of Peter Pan,” Horowitz spills. “We have a way that it intertwines with our Once Upon a Time mythology that we’re really excited to unveil.”
Adam has a way of luring us fans in but without giving away too much. Yet, the last sentence right there makes me believe PP is indeed the author of Henry’s book (i.e. mythology). Since Neverland is where imagination comes from, according to Eddy and Adam, then it would make a lot of sense if his book came from there, too.
“You know us, we love to give nods to the iconography and I don’t think it’ll be any different with Ariel.” Horowitz says. “There will be a nod to what we all know and love about her and hopefully there will be a really cool twist.” Fingers crossed we’ll see her gadgets and gizmos of plenty!
I want thing-a-ma-bobs, too! Anyway, I wonder what this “cool twist” could be for Ariel. We already know that Ariel is the type who craves to be part of the human world. Perhaps the twist is that Ariel once was a human but somehow she became cursed to be a mermaid! (Reverse order of the original story). Plus, Captain Hook told Baelfire in 2×22 to be wary of the curse of the mermaids.
