What if Bae knows how to control the Wrath, or by breaking that medal that controls the Wrath releases souls or someone to help him?
Anything is possible but thus far there is no evidence that Bae can do anything with the Wraith or that he has any kind of power over it.
As for the second thing you propose, maybe? I could see it happening, but that’s a new character and they are trying to streamline the entire season, only introduce characters that are necessary to the overall season, no in one or two episodes but serve no larger purpose.
