I know we talked about this before, and maybe the writers tweeted something to suggest it, but maybe the Dark Magic in Henry’s life is Regina’s influence. She is the mom with a Dark Heart who raised him. I can’t remember where that was though or if they confirmed but most certainly it could be in various senses beyond genetics.
Honestly that’s what I think this is as well.
